New Painting: Fragmented

This one is called Fragmented for a few reasons.

Because I sometimes feel like my old self, sometimes not - and never know when or why.

Also because this is how I am treated: one symptom ivestigated, then another, then another. No links made.

So this is me now - older, no wiser.

Oh yes, and that's my foot !

Oh my ! Another very moving painting. So wish I had half your talent as it must be so good to express yourself through another medium. I so love your style.

I understand the days when you are reminded of how you were and then others not so. Since moving back from Crete in 2019 I feel as if my world has shrunk taking me with it ( but not my waistline !! )

Perhaps I should get the paints out and have a go. Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring us all 🌟

Do it , Marz !

Like your painting and understand your need to paint it, to get it out of your system. But now how about a painting to celebrate the improvements you have made, the pleasure you get from your garden, reading a good book. Think of the pleasure of using yellow, orange, pink, red, and a beautiful cobalt.💛🧡❤️💙

Beautifully said - obviously I adore a good book and cobalt always gives me deep joy. Inspiration for a grey day xx

Absolutely stunning art work again,

Yes, how we were before breaks through and it’s fine. Then, the symptoms ramp up and oh dear.

Maybe for you and lots of others, the frustration of being shipped from pillar to post without continuity, the dots aren’t joined, the specialists don’t communicate.

All the best

And yet at least they are still looking. I can't say I've been let down, or not had the tests, or even not been listened to.

I can't even say there haven't been many improvements.

I just don't think they believe that B12 deficiency symptoms can be this bad/ this difficult to get rid of. Why would they ? No-one is making those links.

Not yet.

It’s good to hear they are doing the tests, you are being listened to and their are improvements.

I live in hope that the links will be made and vitamin B12 deficiency/PA will get the attention it deserves.

Best wishes

Perhaps you need to run the "defrag" program Cherylclaire 🥰

You, to me, are like the foot in the photo - in a really good way.The essential touch of humour !

So glad to hear from you again.

Thank you Cherylclaire. I’m sure you are right about the medical professions attitude to PA / B12 deficiency. They just cannot believe in the massively different symptoms we can have . They should be the medical detectives that they once had to be. They are unable to grasp how we suffer when they ignore us . Hardly a day goes by that i don’t thank God for this forum and Martyn Hooper who founded it . Where would we be without it?

Love your painting !

Thanks for confiding in us . It helps !

Wouldn't have credited the want of B12 with that much destructive power myself... but that's mainly because I'd never heard of B12 !You are so right about Martyn Hooper and this forum.

Wow, what an amazing painting. You are blessed with a wonderful talent others can only dream of. Especially me. Have you tried bio identical hormones.

Thank you for showing us your self portrait.

My initial reaction was you look fed up and bewildered.

Then I looked again and I wondered if thus might be 'the expression' for the many specialists your've seen.

A hidden defiance of ;

"So you are not the one to help me"

" Really ?

Is that a you can come up with?

"Give me strength! Please listen to all of the symptoms.

"I'm holding onto every bit of patience I can muster watching you struggle to give any explanations "

Just say you don't know !

Hoping the next sentence will be I know another that will.

"Thank you for seeing me , so I'll plod on"

" I do like your manner ,I know you are trying to help me . "

The final look of exhaustion of you collating all of the 'opinions '

Options of medicines to try .

You putting thd jigsaw together to 'present ' your ideas to medics for considerations.

Glad things ruled out .thankfully fot that.

You should feel proud its your determination to keep going and a joy if life and art that has got you this far.

I'm sure more clouds will lift to give sharper shades of colour in your new life.

Tc

Love the foot included ..humour .keep your humour .....going to the next open door ....perhaps . One foot forward

Hahaha, Nackapan - you're so right. Well observed. I was going to call it "Is This It, Then ?" but changed my mind. because I don't believe it is. Just a bit fed up with pace of progress sometimes. And today, not so much. Actually, colours in the painting a lot brighter- but either camera or computer unco-operative !

"A picture says a thousand words" it is so true that no-one joins up the dots and treats patients as a whole being or acknowledges how bad we feel with b12 deficiency. Thank you Cheryclaire

"Joining up the dots" Mrsmr ? Sounds like a title for a painting !Marz , how about it ?

Look at me, can't you see! This is not the way it's supposed to be.

My head tilts to my right

But I keep up the fight.

It feels like my brain is failing,

In bed sometimes I'm Sailing

I've lived with this so long

It all feels so wrong!

In painting me I learn to Cope

And above all I live in Hope

Doctor doctor this is my plea

Is it all down to that vitamin B ?

As I once said to my doctor I wish you were in my shoes !

Not a nice place to be in, but we all are with you in our

Own way.

Wishing you all the best

Another great one. It seems it is true we are nothing but a puzzle with no puzzlemasters to put us together. Is your foot a reference to Christy Brown?
