Cobalin H

I have been self injecting ‘Cobalin H ‘ brand of Hydroxocobalamin for years because I get a reaction at the injection site using generics. Unfortunately chemists in England are out of stock. Does anyone know where I can get it with a prescription or privately. Thanks, David

Sorry that I can’t help you with CobalaminH , but have you ever tried the single use ampoules of Hydroxocobalamin that most of us on this forum use? We buy them from German online pharmacies. Apart from Hydroxocobalamin, they contain Sodium Chloride ( salt ) and ascetic acid (Vinegar) Would they be suitable for you ? I’m curious to know how you obtain them in U.K. unless you have a prescription ( prescription not required for B12 ampoules in Germany ) If you need information , you can get it on this forum .,

Thanks, I get prescriptions for hydroxycobalamin from my GP. The chemist just orders cobalin H for me because of the problem.

O thought that was generic?

I've had that from the pharmacy on prescription and cytogen gerot and lannoch and Accord .

Also use the German rotexmedics.

Have you tried many brands ?

Cobalamin H Is thd only one i avoid strangely.

Its still available I expect its a matter if ringing round to see who has some in still in stock still.

The pharmacist advised j did this when I wanted anything but that brand.

I then took my prescription there .

You could contact the makers as UK based if you look at the Box? If my memory serves me right.

Why did you avoid it.?

It was the only brand I reacted badly to. First time j thought a coincidence

Second time a certainty.

It's had slightly different preservatives to the other generic ones the NHS use. I found out from help on here and the pharmacy to make sense of it

Just goes to show we are all different and tolerate or react to different things
