Tongue stinging/tingling and Anxiety

Hi,

I’m really struggling with the tongue stinging/tingling and heightened anxiety with no idea what to do to manage it - can anyone offer some suggestions please?

Did you manage to stay on cyanocobalamin that suited you better?Are yih having enough b12?

Have you had foliate iron and vit d tested for levels?

Hi Nackapan - yes, I have had more Cyano injections along with folic acid (400mcg), a B Complex, Magnesium, Vitamin D3 and zinc - I don’t know which part is messing with me but after a few weeks I tend to develop ridiculously high levels of nervousness 🤯

So, I’ve just received my first Thriva test to see where I am with a few of the measures but it’s clear I need to revisit the haematologist for advice cos things are just lingering…

Really peeved off now as it’s 14 months of treatment

I struggled with the same thing while self injecting every other week. Switching to weekly injections resolved my symptoms. Best of luck to you. Hope you feel better soon.

The B complex doesn’t suit everybody. I have read the B6 in B complex can cause heightened anxiety etc. I have also read on this forum some people having problems with B complex and I think it’s the B6 so you could try cut out the B complex for a month and take only the vitamins and supplements that you need, getting as much as you can from a good diet.

Also I don’t know if you’ve tried hydroxocobalamin instead of Cyano as in UK most of us have hydroxocobalamin injections.
