B12 spray now available in the UK? When I think of all the battles I have had to get b12 here and now suddenly it is available. What do you all think about this? Will I wake up in the morning........
Can this be true???: B12 spray now... - Pernicious Anaemi...
Can this be true???
Do you mean a simple oral B12 spray?
One particular product has been available since 2012 on Amazon:
BetterYou Boost Vitamin B12 Daily Oral Spray | Vitamin Spray Supplement for Energy Boost | 1,200 IU Vitamin B12 | 25ml (192 Sprays) | Natural Apricot Flavour
smile.amazon.co.uk/BetterYo...
That was simply the first one I looked at. Have not checked first listing dates for any other products.
Or do you mean something else?
B12 sprays have never been restricted in the UK the way injections are - it comes under the rules governing vitamins and supplements.
If you mean the Better You Boost B12 spray its been available from Holland and Barrett and Amazon for about 9 or 10 years now, I do seem to get a little boost from it but some people find it works well for them and others say its of no help at all seems to be a case of try it and see if its for you or not😀
A word of caution. I tried an oral spray for about six months but started to have tingling / numb feet and fingers. However I foolishly persevered and now have permanent nerve damage in those areas.
This is after two year of having weekly injections to try to correct the numbness. I now have bi weekly injections and this seems to maintain the status quo for me.
Good luck with whatever decision you make.
Yes I tried high dose oral spratys sublingual s tablets after loading doses . Supposed to wait 3 months . Lasted 5 weeks and very ill.
Fortunately I wax restarted on every other day after a fight and info from here.
Still not functioning at an acceptable level I.e walk z amile or read a book. Ect. And ghsts over 3 years in .
So I agree early treatment and the right treatment.
Thank you for this warning. In case I ever am tempted to try a spray, I'll remember this. I wonder if it was some excipient in the spray but who knows.
Don't despair with your feet and fingers - under optimal conditions of all the right amounts of B12 and supporting supplements it can take 18 months for the nerves to heal and you can get improvements for years.
It took about 5 years of daily SI to finally get mine all working well again and I still get issues in a couple of toes if my potassium levels drop, meaning I can use these as my "deficiency barometers"!
Hi,
I tried B12 sprays and they and high dose oral B12 keep me ticking along between my very frequent B12 injections. I could not manage on sprays or oral tablets alone.
I have to self inject as my body needs B12 far more often than NHS treatment allows for.
There are also B12 drops available.
Keep on your injections Try the spray in-between? I've done that in the hope to get a bigger gap
Why I've no idea .
My only aim now is to get as well as I can
Perhaps you've never come across them before
Can be a waste of money
I have to stick to injections I know for certain deliver
