I hope like me you are all coping the best you can with your pernicious anaemia/B12 deficiency.
I am fortunate after 6 years without injections due to a young inapt doctor saying I didn’t need them to now being in the hands of a brilliant GP.
My question today are does anyone still feel rotten 2 weeks in from injections and also I had a pain in my eye last night and three quarters of the white is now red.
No pain today but eye still looks quite alarming.
So pleased I found this forum, like many of you I feel I’m amongst friends.
Take care, thank you for listening.

I was untreated for many years and when I finally started treatment (had to treat myself) it took many weeks of injections to start to see improvements.
As you had a long time (6 years) without injections I guess it would be like starting from scratch again so might take weeks even months to see some significant improvements.
Within one week after an injection my neurological symptoms return so there is no way I could manage on NHS patterns of treatment.
Some people just need more B12. Do you think you are getting enough B12?
Have you talked to your GP about your eye?
Maybe get someone to take a photo of it.
You could also call NHS 111 number if you feel it is urgent
Hi.. please go to Optician’s and get your eye looked at.. it may just be a little blood vessel bleed which will sort itself but looks horrendous but please just get it looked at.. Opticians are taking routine appointments so all good.. good luck xx
As others have said your body has started to wake up and heal. I am 17 months into everyday injections, and all I can say it has been an experience I would not wish on anyone. However, right now physically I am like a Greek adonis (Even at 48 years old) although my ridiculous diet and large supplements have played a role. I can play exercise without warming up and suffer no consequences like aches and pains. I ran out the other day to play a round of golf, carrying my bag and did not ache at all.Unfortunately not all good news, my brain fog, tiredness still haunts me, but small nerve fibres take 2 years to heal, so trying to stay positive in this dystopian reality I seem to have stumbled into.
My diet is organic, gluten and dairy free. Inonly eat home cooked healthy food, don’t drink and will nit put any unnatural substance in my body. I also take so many supplements and vitamins, I have my bloods done every 3 to 4 months to check my levels. I also have a close friend who has same condition and has helped me tremendously. I spent and still spend many hours researching medicine.
