Is there any issue with having alternative hydroxycobalmin and then methylcobalmin injections every other month?

I am currently battling with my GP over the timings of my hydroxycobalmin injections, got him down two every two months and my symptoms indicate a need for every month.

Whilst I battle my way through I want to get some immediate relief via one of those private b12 injection places. I note that they only offer methylcobalamin, is there any issue with having one month of methylcobalamin and then the next hydroxycobalmin until I pursuade my GP to do otherwise.

NB I currently can’t face self injecting and my partner is reluctant to do it

We seem to be in similar situations. Though I am having trouble sourcing "one of those private b12 injection places" in my area that I can actually have a conversation with.

There is no issue with having one month methylcobalamin and the next month hydroxocobalamin.

Some people find they respond better to one than another, but most people do well on either.

A few people are not able to tolerate methylcobalamin well, (for me it makes me feel very weak etc) but that's not very common.

I have been self-injecting methyl, cyano and hydroxy in the past few months. The main difference I have noticed is that the hydroxycobalamin makes me feel too hot at night as if I'm generating a lot of heat. The methyl is my personal favourite but is too expensive at approx £20 per ampule, whereas I can source the cyanocobalamin from Germany at a cost of less than a pound each.

I get monthly injections of cyanocobalamin at my surgery, and in addition give myself a monthly injection of hydroxocobalamin with no issues.
