I have had 4 weekly B12 injections and for past week or so my pins and needles have been almost completely gone. Now all of a sudden its started. We moved to getting shots every two weeks so is this common if this starts when i need another injection? I still have 4 days till next one.

Unfortunately it is. You need to go back to your weekly shots. Pins and needles are neurological symptoms and the guidelines say these should be treated with alternate day injections until there is no further improvement. (This can be months or years) This is important as under treating can lead to permenant damage if they leave it too long. Definately take this back up with your doctor and point out the guidlines to your doctor. If you have a problem you can try ringing the helpine on PA for advice and support......sometimes they have intervened and the doctors have listened.

Oh and by the way the cost of b12 vials and needles and syringes is pennies! Probably costs them more to get the nurse to inject you than the actual meds!

The symptoms returning is how most of us know when we need another injection. Now you know how often you need the shots.

I'm in pretty much exactly the same boat!

Well sort of...

My pins and needles / tingling mostly went away after I had 2x monthly injections. Then after 2x weekly injections (talked doctor into increasing frequency) and taking sublingual B12 daily, they have returned just as bad.

Which is confusing!

Seems like more b12 is causing issues?!

Or is that my body repairing the nerve damage with the increase in frequency of b12 treatment...

I wonder if that could be the case with you too, Greenkids - body repairing perhaps? 🤔

I did find a lot of posts when I searched on here about this topic, that indicated that could be the case.

Oh and by the way... it was after taking 5,000mg of sublingual methyl that the tingling returned within 12 hours...

I haven't taken any more since but the tingling has remained.
