Yes I was asked the same.At the time it was being able to walk without bouncing off walls!!

It's a start

I only got 2 sessions after a long wait

But did get an exercise sheet.

I paid to see two others .

One to help reduce headaches.

But it made them worse so he said not to go anymore until the headaches settled 🙄

I remember feeling so upset

I thought it another case of worse before better

Vestibular pysio hard but did help .

Hoping you will actually get started soon.

Yes In two weeks time. I just thought it funny being ask what you would like to achieve from physio, them knowing I couldn't wash my hair or dress with out some help.😂

Jokingly I said if I brought some WD40 could they oil the joints.

😜

Has any of the exercises help you !

I was once told by a physio "well at least its only your left arm so you can manage alright" there was no response to me telling her that I was left handed 😀 Good Luck and I Hope you get sorted quickly

Oh goodness what an assumption to make !! It's mostly the limb you most use gets strain !!!

I still think if it feels totally wrong after a trial for your body it usually is .

Neck stretches are brilliant I've found . Also eye exercises.

Or any exercises that reduce tension in your body.

Well it's been seven or eight months now so I am getting a little bit fed up. It all started with b12 injection too high in arm, it's a ruddy good job I am pretty placid sort of person. Any way a few weeks ago I spoke to the Chemist and he said that if I need Physio in future make sure the doctor refers you, as when you refer yourself (as the Doctor advised me too do) they dont put you down as a priority. Also I find it strange that when I mentioned it to the nurse within three days I got an appointment.

It's quite obvious you need to know how to get around the system.

Oh yes.Muscle strengthening a bit better

I uses the vestibular ones daily.

Sometimes my brain says I'm going to fall over .

By concentrating on the exercises and not stopping as my body seems to want to , I get going agsin.

With better balance and Co ordination

It's very hard not listening to your body as the opposite of what you normally should do.

Sone days I feel I can't move at all.

I can

So I need the' override' button with pysio.

To DIY brain train. To ignore messages that are wrong.

Hopefully by ignoring the wrong messagestge brain stops giving wrong messages.

Minefield

Takes alot of metal and physical energy .

Vestibular pysio csn mske you ferl very nauseas too .

Go gently . Several short sessions throughout the day better

Aldo try snd get them into everyday activities as more likely yo fo them.

For instance I was told to use a thera band .

That was a first.!

Cheap of the Internet

Different colours gor different resistance .

Gentle leg muscle strengthening.

He said walking will exercise but nor strengthen or build wasted muscle.

Alsoo my body for yesrs used to cycling and walking at speed.

I'm still not able to do the former.

Csn walk at speed but gir a very short duration. That's new!

So the thera band got a bit redundant after a while so boring.!!

I do the same exercise putting my bra around the top of my knees sitting on a chair and do 25 resistant stretches on thr tightest hook. before getting dressed.

Tedious but ensures I do it daily.

It works for me like I've always done core exercises (perineum)

Whilst washing up .

Incorporating exercises in 'normal ' everyday routines.

Can't stand gor long now or do much.

Bur trying g yo illustrate what works for me.

Never been to a gym .

Did go swimming but not able to fo that now.

My work used to be very physical .

So just fo as much as you csn . Build slowly.

I've stayed with the basic ones as not pushing.

Every time I've trued to 'push through a mistake.

Never had to think about moving so much !!

I think if its the correct sort of exercises you benefit quite quickly.

My daughter finds pilates good .

Also swimming.

She csnt walk for exercise

There also loads for in bed which we've both done .

Even eye ones when I was befbound..

Hope you get on okay and it helps you get on and reduce pain. T c

A friend had suffered dreadful shoulder pain for years. Physio didn’t help but her physio recommended a Painmaster Micro Patch. £20 from Amazon. She is now pain free and looks 20 years younger.
