Alot if posts recently are about doctors wanting b12 levels done then as high stop injections.

Patient gets ill and eventually injections start again.

Doctors put us on loading doses and then expect everyone to manage on the 2-3 monthly protocol.

Some treat you as sm individual and prescribe a frequency that seems to keep the worst symptoms at bay.

What I dont understand is the testing

.Gps surely know the levels will be high.

Surely once on injections the 'normal range means nothing.

Akso that once on injectikns very few manage without ever agsin.

You don't take a diabetics blood sugar and say oh thars fine and withdraw/stop insulin. ???

Most if not all have trialled oral forms of b12 . Surely they know this.

Have a look at Sleepybunny 's latest post - it has a link to NICE guidelines from July 2020, which mentions reasons for rechecking serum levels - and where it is unhelpful and unnecessary. Hopefully will prove useful to those having difficulty getting their B12 injections reinstated.
