Evening all

I have a b12 deficiency and I self inject twice a week.

I have not been feeling great of late so I decided to get a full blood work done and thankfully most of my results came back great.

The two that didn't I wouldn't have thought have any connection to B12 deficiency but you never know, so thought I would ask and see if anyone has experienced something similar.

My monocytes are 0.05 (range is from 0.5 so I'm low)

Platelets 633 (range is up to 400 so I'm high)

Thank you

I imagine your bloods will be repeated.

Or ar least discussed.

Ask why platelets raised when you are being treated for b12 deficiency. B12 deficiency can be the causes.

Have you had an infection or injury?

See what your doctor says

Yes, you are right I'm having my bloods repeated but the Dr didn't seem to concerned. Fingers crossed they go back to normal as I don't have any injuries just a lot of tiredness and some right side body pain which is nerve pain im sure.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the platelets, some people have a higher than normal range without there being a reason. Mine have been 650 since 2010.

Thank you, Parlay. Mine was normal in November and now 633, so I'm hoping next week, when I have blood retaken, they go down. Saying that I don't know what my normal was.
