I apologize for all the posts the past week. I am just trying to gain as much information as possible in hopes to persuade my doctor to be flexible with my treatment.
I have 2 questions. Currently I am receiving one 1000mcg cyno injection per month since august after loading. It’s helping but I have been having periods of big setbacks where symptoms come flooding back. I want to try to increase my injection frequency to 2 shots per month. I am going to tell my doctor she can allow it or I will get them in my own (it’s sad I can go to a spa and get an injection for $20 no questions asked but my doctor won’t prescribe them more frequently for me). Levels started at 141 but as of last week are up to 1500 (no diagnosis of PA). I also take 5000mcg sublingual daily. My question is, is it safe to take the daily sublinguals and get 2 injections per month. I know it’s sort of impossible to “overdose” on B12 but I want to make sure I am not going to cause my body harm. It’s odd, sometimes the injections make me feel amazing and other times I feel like I have been poisoned which is why I am apprehensive.
My second question is do any of you also struggle with thyroid issues along with B12? I had mine checked and it was a .668, this falls within normal range (.3-4) but it’s on the lower end. I know my doctor is going to tell me it’s fine but I don’t wonder if this might be contributing to my issues.
My wish for everyone of you is health and happiness in the new year. I appreciate all of you and your willingness to share your stories and abundant knowledge.

I would suggest posting your question about thyroid on TUK , though it may be worth asking for antibody tests as its common to have more than one auto-immune condition.Reality is that there is also a huge overlap between symptoms of thyroid problems and symptoms of B12 deficiency.
If you are on regular injections of B12 then these will be keeping your serum B12 levels high and that is the treatment to prevent a B12 deficiency - on average people who have PA seem to need to maintain much higher levels - well over the normal range to feel okay - that doesn't apply to all patients - just to significant numbers and some of us need numbers over the top of the measurable ranges.
As such, using the sublinguals and trying more frequent injections isn't going to be an issue - hope it does work and stop the return of the symptoms - if it doesn't you could try weekly or even more frequently - if it doesn't make any difference then that would imply that something else is going on. Thyroid would be a good candidate
Hi just joined this group and read your post, I’ve had an overactive thyroid my whole adult life which is managed with carbimazole, I have no problems at all, I developed B12 deficiency 10 years ago, my endo was adamant I couldn’t possibly have that but I was at my doctors all the time really ill with various symptoms, thankfully the right one took one look at me and knew straight away as started injections. Anyway, I do get more effects of the deficiency than I do thyroid but can easily tell them apart.
