I've been self injecting for 3 years. No side effects whatsoever. It's much better than needing to sleep 14 hours & the damage done to your stomach if you need it. Shot site isn't sore. I also take 5000 mcg under the tongue for 2 weeks before the monthly shot. Good luck & go for it.
