B12 needles

Just got my yellow needles delivered there they are really small compared to the green and orange ones I usually use

I’m hoping they’ll help reduce my anxiety injecting it seems to have really ramped up these last few times I’ve injected.

I’ll try one tomorrow but I’m a bit apprehensive of it breaking now ,does anyone else use the smaller yellow successfully ,injecting in your arm?

Is it Yellow 30G 1/2 " long. ?

If so I use them.

I use my thigh as can reach better and see better.

In toud arm no different. Squeeze tour flesh into a roll of yoh like. Put it in slowly but firmly like a dart at 90deg.

If you can do IM you can do these.

My husband has to do 4 a day so rotates parts of his body. Thigh stomach 2" away from belly button . Around hip. Wherever enough flesh as it's only going in the subcutaneous fat.

I thought you were doing it today. If your anxiety is increasing I would get it out of the way. Try not to overthink it.

Horrible tou feeling this way.

Thanks Nackapan that’s good to know I’m not due to inject till tomorrow that’s why I’m waiting.im heading towards 60 shots now and I still dread doing them I can’t believe I’m so bad. I was just thinking earlier and it’s been since my husband changed his work hours,I always did them in the morning after I had my shower and he was here with me.Now he’s out at 5am and I get scared of having a reaction or big bleed ( I know nuts) I’ll bet that’s what’s wrong I’m so uptight having to do them when I’m on my own.

I’d still like to try the sub cut in arms rather than I.M just to see if it prolongs the frequency.many thanks xx

I dont think it will make any difference where you inject.

If you over use your arms the muscle gets harder. I found that and they got so sore.

.Diabetics like my husband who inject 4 times a day ars told to rotate injection sites.

That makes sense to inject when your husband there .

Hope it goes well.

Be careful they bend very easy with handling.

Hello!

I find if I get all ready and count to three them inject,,,I do much better. If I start to think about it I get in my head and get nervous. I rotate on my thighs and enter the location on my calendar on my phone. Ex: upper right thigh. Lower left thigh. I inject IM weekly.

Hi sunshine girl thank you.i do all this but it makes no difference to my mentality lol I’ve decided now to wait till someone’s at home so I’m not on my own to inject and I think that’ll solve it.Im also not going to change needles now I’ll stick with what I’ve been doing.x I wish I could get down to weekly but ive tried so many times and I get Symptoms back with a vengeance.

Hi Thrones. I’ve had a needle phobia all my life and would have to gee myself up every time I needed to self inject (many unused syringes of unused b12 have been flushed down the plug hole) but this meant that I could go long periods before I could buck up the courage to do it again which meant my symptoms got worse and I became more irritable. The pins and needles in my left hand, both thumbs and one foot and a swollen tongue were becoming almost constant during the pandemic and I never knew whether the doctor’s receptionist would allow me to have my injections. I have PA and because of the situation I knew that I could only rely on myself. Now, every Wednesday I put everything I need to SI including two ampules by the side of my chair, a constant reminder of what I have to do. I fill the syringe with the 2ml of b12 from the two ampules and inject it. This means injecting only once a week instead of twice. This works for me and helps with the fobia.

I’ve just come across some advice given by Foggyme about the needle sizes and going smaller for b12 and wanted to say a big thank you for it that really helped me make my descision it was very good wise advice from your experience as a nurse that I’m going to take.thank you again xx
