Morning all.Bit of advice please.

I’ve had a sore burning tummy for the last three days,I think I ate some dodgy black pudding.

My instinct says to get an antacid to settle it like gaviscon or similar but my heads saying no with p.a ive prob got low acid levels.please can someone advise best course of action for me.ty x

In my experience, having always had tummy trouble, the thing that works best is charcoal tablets.

I don't think gavascon is a good idea. Hopefully others may have some more suggestions.

I had stomach pain for nearly 5 months. I took a dose of gabapentin and the pain went away. Turns out the burning pain wasnt actually my stomach, rather it was my nerves. Something to keep in mind..

Thank you Seth yes I’m still getting a lot of nerve firing up after I inject so ive restarted folic acid and multi ViT/ minerals ,my tongue is still sore and cut so I’m thinking maybe zinc in the multi will help, hoping I should say lol.

I've swopped to a smaller injection needle ,delivery coming tomorrow,as it’s getting sorer and I’m bleeding more even when nurse does it,so I’m going to try this theory that doing subcutaneous is a slower delivery method and maybe rather than a big rush of b12 hitting me in the I.M injections it would last longer and I can reduce the frequency later on,I really do hate doing them.x

I find sc does go in slower and is less of a reaction for me. I've reacted to nearly every one. Ivr had over 100 now. I'm having IM though every y weeks ag the surgery at present buf might reduce that.

Hope your stomach more settled. I didnf eagle black pudding bug thr last couple of days my stomach nog right and nausea . ??? I thought it wad the 9njection as wad after it. Today stomach is fine?? Somwyonex best tk edit tk see if it just sorts itself out.

Hope you find subcutaneous injections as pain free as me. And as effective for you. I used a 30G 1/2 " needle. Just wrong by my husbdnd as he uses a 31G in a insulin pen

I assumed IM was the chosen method by thr NHS as stays on your system longer. ?? I haven't put it to the test ad havi v them frequently.

Thank you Nackapan.Im hoping that by trying the sub cut method it won’t be such an ordeal for me,I know I should just suck it up and be grateful but I can’t so next injection I’m going to try swapping needles but continue with doing it into my arm and see if I can eventually cut down by doing that but I’ll know now right away if it’s not working I get symptomatic very quickly,my hubby lets me know as I’m a bit 🤬🤣xx

What size needles have you got? I inject in my thigh .

My arms got so sore and bruised with IM .one got clicky and the muscle was hard.

I'm sure it will work. I know it's gone in me!

Sorry about typos . Vision down!

in reply toNackapan

Sorry to hear that I still have problems with my vision too.

I have the green to draw and the orange to inject and I’ve now ordered the yellow to replace the orange one hopefully.x

Yes thats what I have yellow 30G.

Good.

Y4s vision uonsnd down. It's the pains in my heaving find the most difficult ar present I know its connected with using my eyes. I tried t8 look at a book today but still cant do it.A5 page with a decent test size. Yet I can read thus small phone even if my head does still sizzle. Right at the start I was finishing a book. So odd. But must test things. Hooe your sc goes well 🤞

in reply toNackapan

My eyes feel like I’m looking through smoke and I just have constant floaters but they say nothing wrong I’m hoping once all vitamin levels improve they also improve it’s such an effort to read a book these days I understand that.X
