Is there a difference in the b12 that the gp prescribe to the b12 you can order from the German pharmacy?

Such as the dosage being smaller from the doctors compared to the ones you can order yourself?

As far as I know there is no difference . The normal dosage is 1 mg of B12 Hydroxocobalamin . It is obtainable from the German online pharmacies in either 1ml or 2ml ampoules . — But the dosage strength is I mg . There is a 1.5 mg ampoule available made by Pascoe . I’m assuming that when you write “ capsule “ you mean ampoule . Best wishes .

There is no difference at all. Both will contain exactly the same things. Indeed, I believe it was Nackapan who once noted that the B12 they got on prescription was actually made by Rotexmedica and rebranded for the UK market. Rotexmedica are the most popular brand of hydroxocobalamin bought from Germany by people in this group.

The NHS will supply 1 mg in 1 mL. From Germany it is possible to buy 1 mg in 2 mL or 1.5 mg in 1 mL. But the majority is 1 mg /mL.

The NHS will supply hydroxocobalamin. In Germany it is possible to buy cyanocobalamin. But hydroxocobalamin is preferred.

Just to avoid any possible confusion the Rotexmedica box has 1mg/1mL at the top right and further down to the left it is printed as 1000 ug/1 mL. These are two ways of saying the same thing as 1 milligram is equal to 1,000 micrograms.
