No B12 injection in lockdown. Prescribed oral 50mcg twice daily. Severe tiredness! Practise nurse advised 1000 mcg in phone call. Rang today. NO. GP says 100mcg only! Why??? I take Apixaban. Any connection?

Ask your doctor if his patients with diabetes are being asked to eat insulin, instead of injecting it, at the moment?

your GP is treating you as if you have a dietary deficiency. The nurse is right about 1000mcg being a better option but oral treatment except in dietary deficiency isn't a licenced treatment so sounds as if your GP is just going by what is licensed rather than what is actually needed.

If you can refer them to this guidance

which has been produced specifically for the current situation.

I have had mine (end of May) . That's madness not to give you an injection - it can make you suffer needlessly :( I hope you get it sorted x
