You guys help me out so much thank you in advance! Okay I am going back to work, but my body is not taking it well. I am HIGHLY allergic to any type of fish. Due to working in physical labor for work, I need a good boost me up for my breaks and lunch’s . I am not drinking caffeine, but I miss drinking my tea. I was wondering what tea is good for me... and food that will increase my body energy.

Nuts and dried fruit. Robush tea or ordinary tea. Fruit teas you must have food with as acidic and can cause dental decay.

Roasted chickpeas a good snack.

All fruit and veg.

Frozen fruit goid to add to porridge

Skimmed milk. Eggs. Avocados on toast.

Smoothies of all sorts . Seeds .pulses. all can be made in advance to take .

Peanut butter. Cold chicken turkey any meat . Just avoid simple carbs. Go for long chain carbs that keep you going and keep steady blood sugars.

Brand on toast balanced as is kidney beans wit rice for proteins

Some ideas there .

Not brand ...beans(harricot in tins)

I can recommend redbush tea, especially the vanilla flavoured one,it’s just lovely.I just add milk and sugar as usual and it’s a beautiful colour,I tend to eat/ drink with my eyes lol if I don’t like the look I won’t eat or drink.

Really helps with sleeping issues too as it’s so relaxing.try it ,available in Asda etc.enjoy

Although tea contains caffeine - more than coffee - it also contains tannin which reduces the uptake of caffeine.

You can get decaffeinated teas just as you can get decaffeinated coffees (personally don't like the taste of decaffeinated coffee and don't know if tea is the same so haven't tried it).

It may be that it is the warmth of the tea that you are finding reviving - have you tried other hot drinks?

Decaffeinated tea is fine - tastes the same as regular tea but without the cumulative side effects! We use T****y and visitors just comment that it’s nice tea!

Take a few sandwiches with you - chicken, turkey cheese etc as any protein will sustain you for longer. Plain natural yogurt with some fresh or tinned in juice fruit is also refreshing but will keep you going.

You do not need to reduce coffee or tea drinking - you can eat any healthy diet ( not vegetarian or vegan as its just my opinion that they are not healthy). Moderate alcohol up to 5 days a week.

It does help to take some form of acid - I use a satsuma with each meal and sometimes a pure fruit lemon squash without added sugar. I also eat some liver pate every day to ensure I have iron in my diet. If you are self isolating then vitamin D will help with the lack of sunshine and if you are an older person recommended anyway. A low dose 500 micrograms of folic acid is also needed.

I also take a probiotic capsule, some omega 3 oil, natural yogurt (used to be called live yogurt) and kefir daily on a good breakfast of nut based muesli. This helps with my gut damaged by PA.
