Dont understand why...

Why is it that everytime i go to the lab to do blood work I feel light headed? Today I went to a lab to do bloodwork my doctor had ordered and I felt a little weak and dizzy. It was four big tubes...and no I dont get like this because of needles or the sight of blood. It doesn't bother me not one bit.

Could be a number of things. Subconscious anxiety is probably the most likely. Although you say you’re not bothered by needles and blood, your subconscious mind possibly thinks differently.

Higher blood pressure reading in a clinical setting are often referred to as due to white coat syndrome. Probably, without you knowing, your blood pressure is altering, as are your breathing rate and oxygen saturation. As long as you recover afterwards, I wouldn’t worry about it.
