I recently had to call out a paramedic. I had been tired and a bit breathless and generally unwell for several days and then developed other more concerning symptoms (didn't have co-vid19 as no cough or temperature). My call to 111 service for advice resulted in the arrival of an ambulance.
When the paramedic was taking my medical history and listing my medications he said I was also iron deficient as B12 injections meant I was lacking in iron. I refrained from saying anything but was concerned about his lack of understanding but then again doctors don't know about B12 deficiency either.

If you print off some of the info on the PAS website and keep it to hand you can then ask anyone seemingly lacking in knowledge to take some info and read it at their leisure , I have had a couple of paramedics who have taken posters for PAS to put up in their restroom
A while ago I heard from someone who had called out paramedics.
This person has B12 deficiency type symptoms but no diagnosis. They were offered nitrous oxide as pain relief and when the patient mentioned concern over nitrous oxide depleting B12 levels the paramedics were totally unaware of the potential issue.
