I have recently been diagnosed with PA, after a very long time of not know "what was wrong with me". My symptoms are mostly the neuro ones, paranoia, hallucinations, depression etc. but I also have always suffered with "a nervous stomach".
It is wild to me how everything I have ever suffered with, which was seemingly unrelated, has been linked to PA.
Anyway, I had my first round of B12 treatment about 3 weeks ago, and I'm due for my next injection next week. But for the last couple of days, I have felt rotten! I've been vomitting, have awful nausea, weakness in my body and feeling really down in the dumps.
Does anyone else find that this happens to them before they are due their next round of B12? Does it get better?
Thanks. Miki.

I have been self injecting after about a year of daily high dosage B12 sublingual lozenges.I wanted to work up to one injection per month but now seem to have settled on 1-2 wk, depending how I feel.
It seems like docs have settled that 1 shot per month or even 2 months is enough, and often worry about high blood values of B12.
I think most PA patients would probably benefit from a much higher frequency.
If I miss my weekly shot I start getting anxious, short tempered and my cognition declines. If I wait longer my heart starts playing up and I get sleeping problems. Wait even longer and I get severe neurological symptoms.
2+ years in now and found that despite any amount of meat I eat + was taking 100mg of b12 per day, I just don't absorb. Every time I listened to the docs and spaced out my injections I would have no up back at square one. Learn how to self inject, get your own supplies and inject daily (if cyanocobalomine) or every other day (EOD) if with hydroxocobalamine.
B12 is not toxic unless you have a preexisting liver or kidney function issue caused by something else, only then can b12 be a concern. Which liver and kidney function tests will rule out.
Once kidney and liver functions are ruled out, b12 is not toxic at any frequency or amount. This info is backed by medical journals. however doctors seem to misunderstand this and think it's harmful. This is why many of us self inject (SI). However all the better if you can get a doc to understand, it's just so rare.
