Dear friends

My first post was 24 days ago and I started every other day injections then.

My symptoms then were summarised as feeling extremely upset and nervous, internal tremor from base of spine spreading upwards and downwards, tingling and burning in legs and feet and tinnitus plus palpitations and altered sensation in feet. ...my feet feel like I am walking on paper or something. On the way to numbness really. The worst thing from my point of view is the extreme nervousness and the internal tremor.

My symptoms worsened initially but spured on by all of your advice I continued and even had a few injections daily once the worsening abated .

In just this short time I feel there is a difference.

I am not feeling so crazy nervous and the tremor has turned down a notch. The burning is not as bad and the tinnitus now patchy.

It's just the last 2 days that I have felt this improvement. Really heartened . Quicker than I expected.

Another thing I am doing apart from BComplex and folate and vit d is magnesium. I have found a type of magnesium that crosses the blood brain barrier called magnesium threonate. Other magnesium salts do not cross the blood brain barrier and this feels important for me with my nervousness etc. I get it from Amazon easily. It is patented as Magtein. There are several manufacturers if you google. Magnesium is easily overlooked and many of us are deficient in it. I started this at the same time as every other day injections and feel its helping a lot too. I had been taking Magnesium Glycinate and Magnesium Citrate which are both good absorbable forms (Magnesium Sulphate is rubbish) but Nagnesium Threonate is new to me.

I just wanted to pass on my good news as encouragement to others and also thank you all for the support this forum offers. I know I am not out of the woods yet but I can feel a change and I think it will grow. I haven't felt optimistic for years.

Keep the faith and self inject at the level you need. Bye for now.

X

Well done kittyflowers.I use jarrows MagMind it’s expensive but as you say really good I went for this one because of my brain injury.

It was interesting about you saying you had some worsening of symtoms on your b12 I have had the same thing this last 3 days my feet have been on fire and my toes at the tips have been so sensitive and tingly and I just felt crap over the weekend although today I do feel a bit brighter.

I’m struggling on my own so I’m going to arrange to see a doctor in London that I’ve researched and try and get my head in the right place to deal with all this.

Good luck and I hope you continue to improve and feel good.xx

Hi Thrones

Easy to get disheartened when struggling to do it all on own. That's why this forum is helpful and many folk say their symptoms worsened initially. Its thought it's the nerves waking up and starting to work again.

Glad you know about the Mag Threonate.

Good luck and stay positive as much as poss

Warmly
