Hi there - I have a very quick question. My 17 year old daughter is having every other day injections due to neuro symptoms- (dizziness, difficulty eating) and is due to have 4th injection today and has developed an itchy rash around her neck and chin (a bit like heat rash). She already had loading dose a few months ago with no rash.
Has anyone experienced this and could it be she’s allergic to B12? (My new worry)
Thank you so much
Sam

A temporary bout of acne is not unusual when B12 replacement starts. Try asking a pharmacist for advice on creams and go see the doctor if it's not OK in a few weeks.
It seems so, I had the red itchy rash and the acne type spots. Thorough cleaning and applying a tiny bit of tea tree oil plus the antihistamines helped. I do still get a few of the acne type spots but not the rash.
I hope your daughter soon starts to see some improvements.
Some forum members report that symptoms sometimes get worse for a while before they get better . Some of my neuropathic symptoms increased for a while; I think this was probably a sign that healing had started.
