I have a follow up with my General Physician in two weeks regarding my B12 deficiency. He gave me 4 weekly injections and then wanted me to switch to monthly. Whenever I spaced out my injections, my symptoms worsened around the 10 day mark so I’ve continued weekly injections as I’m still experiencing symptoms and have seen some improvement.
My question is this: Since so many GPs and even neurologists know so little about B12 deficiency and throw out the “once a month injections” as the gospel, what is the best information I could print out and take in with me to get a prescription to continue my weekly injections? I’ve bookmarked over 50 sites online but if any of you have had success with certain medical literature, I’d love to have it. (I’m in the United States if that’s matters.)

I like it because it is concise and it lists the misconception and then shows how it is erroneous by listing the correct information. And at times it lists links to medical journals to support the correction. You may use this site already, but I have found all their articles incredibly useful. If you find yourself suddenly reading Dutch, just head back to main menu and scroll down to the English articles link.
