I had to.
Hi 12 weeks that's a long gap? Did you have loading dose once a week 6-8weeks? You need to find the right dose for you after the loading dose. After mine I went to every other week then once every three weeks to one every 4 weeks any longer than that and the b12 loses it's effect for me. My osteopath advised to restart the loading phased due to recent illness then go back to once every 3-4 weeks. I am aware that some people have to dose every day so it is trial and error when trying to find the right dose for you. I gave up on the doctor, I went private and now self inject into my thigh -buy IM B12 which for a kit of 6 plus all the stuff you need is just over 20 pounds.
Zoe99 - are you based in the US? loading dose and maintenance regimes are quite different in US/Canada asthe form of B12 used is different.
2-3 months is the licensed period for hydroxocobalamin in the UK ... though that doesn't mean it is enough for everyone.
