B12 IM hydro can I use IM meth?
Yes of course you can use Methylcobalamin instead of Hydroxocobamalin . Some people think it’s better than Hydroxocobalamin. I have used both and found no difference , except the price .
I've tried IM methylcobalamin - just once. It made me feel terrible I was agitated and irritable. I just felt 'wrong'. I gave away the rest of those ampoules.
I've also tried Methylcobalamin, twice! Never again. Felt awful. But everyone is different. Hydroxocobalamin or Cyanocobalamin work for me.
Hi was it the day after you felt bad as I have seen some comments on what they describe as the meth 'hangover 'but then the following day it's worn off?
The "meth hangover" the first time for me lasted a week, the 2nd time about 8 days. Unpleasant to say the least.
Thanks for your reply. What were your hangover symptoms? I ask as have chronic IBS and don't want to make it worse.
I use methylcobalamin and find it really good if any help. Best of luck
There is no reason why methylcobalamin should be any better than any other type - b12science.com/B12Science/D...
On the NIH site, there's actually more research papers on methylcobalamin than hydroxocobalamin. What does that tell you? That doesn't indicate superiority as much as, I guess, scientists just chasing their respective tails.
I don't support claims of superiority of one form over another (exceptions for specific medical indications) and I also don't support diminishing one over the others.
I personally know some people that regularly use methylcobalamin without side effects. Doesn't take away from those that say they have.
My dad was on 25mg (yes, that much) IM every three days for one and a half years without negative side effects. I've been using it regularly for a couple of years without untoward effects.
Love to everyone.

If you think that the number of publications makes any difference, then Google Scholar has 15,300 citations for methylcobalamin vs 49,800 for cyanocobalamin. Therefore cyanocobalamin is better.
Please show the comparative studies demonstrating that methylcobalamin is better than anything else - comparative studies, published post-2015 when it became known that all forms of B12 are identical when they enter the cell.
Why do you think that saying "There is no reason why methylcobalamin should be any better than any other type" is disparaging?
