GP has now looked at guidelines and agrees i shouldnt be tested for b12 again and that i should get treatment every two months. Regarding every other day shots, they are saying i should get three weeks of that (three a week) and then review with the gp.
I had two weeks at the end of august and felt unbelievably fantastic for about a week then i have began to dip considerably
My third week will start on friday so these arent consecutive weeks - theres a gap of 19 days between end of week two and start of week 3.
Im hoping i will notice another perk at end of third week but im really not pleased in the gap.
Im considering self injecting for a while, mostly to minimise disruption as i am a teacher and can only get injections during work hours.
Im pleased that the gp have changed their policy, but im not sure it will fully work for me with that gap.
On a "seperate" note ive been referred to a gastroenterologist for some symptoms that i think are connected to b12 but the gp thinks is a mal-absorption problem. (!!!!).
I will keep you informed with any updates. Im really pleased about the hope that the treatment will work!

Thanks for the distinction, I think that no further improvement can be hard to gauge as some of the symptoms affect me periodically and none of them were constant or at the same level of intensity - fatigue is sometimes pretty bad but sometimes alright. Brain fog can get worse or less worse!
Serum folate was tested along with B12 at the same time before I began any treatment on 15th August 2018. Folate was 6.8 at that reading. I have had two (unnecessary) readings since then - March and July of this year - showing 7.2 and 7.8 respectively.
The first B12 pre-treatment reading was 140, and after that 395 and 327.
Serum Ferritin was taken shortly after treatment had began and then four months later - 38 then 51
Full blood counts were taken four times showing MCH to be abornomal on the second and fourth test - 32.4 and 32.6 with the other two readings being 31.3 and 31.4. The MCHC was abnormal on all four occasions - 369, 362, 356 and 360. The first blood count was taken in 2013, the others over the past 13 months.
