I've been self-injecting 1mg hydroxocobalamin frequently for the past year, which has gradually reduced my tingling and fatigue by about 90%. I started with every other day shots, have been able to gradually stretch the time to every 3 or 4 days. I usually feel tired before a shot, and more energetic afterward. I haven't been diagnosed with PA, as my test results were inconclusive, but for whatever reason I need a lot of B12.
About two weeks ago, I started some aspects of the Cusack protocol, which supports collagen growth in EDS (Ehler-Danlos Syndrome) (note: I don't have EDS). I was a bit surprised to find that my residual tingling and fatigue both dropped quickly, so that my tingling is often barely noticeable now, and my exercise tolerance has significantly improved. I almost feel normal. I also found that I didn't really need my B12 shot last week, so I pushed out my injection schedule to every 7 days, and I still felt fine.
I'm not sure which part of the protocol is helping me, but here are the new things I've been taking:
PQQ by Jarrow, 1 capsule, 10mg
Lion's Mane by Host Defense, 1 capsule, 275mg
D-ribose powder, 1000-2000mg
George's Distilled Aloe Vera, 2 ounces
I'm not sure yet which of these supplements is helping me. PQQ and D-ribose help mitochondria. Lion's Mane is supposed to be good for the nervous system. Distilled aloe vera helps the gut.
I'll report back later if anything changes, or if I figure out which of the supplements is the magic one. If anyone has experience or info about any of these, please let me know.
