Anyone injecting B12 EOD or even ED? Any feedback?

Hi everyone,

I posted awhile ago and was told by my doctor to inject once every month but that did not work really well. At the end of week 1 I had my symptoms back and by week 3 was a total wreck so I started injecting B12 every third day. This week I injected on Friday and was OK up until last night when I started filling lightheaded and vertigo. This morning I injected 1000mcg Rotexmedica B12 and within couple of hours felt like I was a new person. So straight to my question:

- What could cause such a rapid loss of B12 in the body?

- Anyone injecting EOD or even ED? Any side effects?

Thanks in advance,

Best Regards

Just started every day. Felt good during loading doses (every other day) then when I went to once monthly I felt terrible after just a few days. Even by the end of the second day after an injection, I could feel a lot of the neuro sumptoms kicking in so I decided to go to once daily. Hoping that I won't have to inject every day forever but will have to wait and see. When I use the hydroxo version I get some stomach discomfort (only side effect). I do much better with the methyl version, no stomach issues at all and no other side effects.

Hi, I really really appriciate your reply :). Where are you located? I cannot seem to find Methylcobalamin in all the German online pharmacies. I use mycare.de and use the Rotexmedica Hydroxo. Is Methylcobalamin really that much better than hydroxo?

I am in the US. Right now I get my methylcobalamin from a compounding pharmacy but it is very expensive. Others here have posted about a German supplier (Arnika) that you can read about in this recent post:

healthunlocked.com/pasoc/po...

I also just inquired about Clear Sky Pharmacy and am waiting to see if anyone here has tried them.

From what I am reading many here do perfectly fine with hydroxo and it is far more affordable. I just wish it worked for me so I could save the money.

Hope you find what works best. It really seems like a trial and error approach is needed as we are all apparently quite different.

AmbersMom - I'm in WA state & would also like to find a source of good/cheap Methylcobalamine. Please pass on any experiences you might have.

Vitaminquick.com sells B12 methylcobalamine, B12 complex and Vitamin C

Hi SouthSounder - One of the members here did not have a favorable review of Vitamin Quick and I have not been able to find any favorable independent reviews online. If I can find some positive reviews I will let you know. Until then it seems that the best viable source would be Arnika in Germany as others have stated on this forum in various posts. I know that Oxford Biosciences sells the methylB12 powder that you have to add sterile saline solution to. Some here have cautioned against this due to the possibility of contamination.

Ambersmom - Thanks, I noticed the B12 from Clear Sky looks to be from India. I'd have concerns about that. I saw a shop in the Vancouver, CA area that looked promising, especially living in WA, but I can't find the link!

I contacted Arnika today and they are selling them and the 5mg vials are really not that expensive. Not sure if I would be able to transfer 10 amps to a sterile multidose vial and use them like that. I mean I have done that for my testosterone replacement therapy and never had an issue with that. Anyone have any experience with transferring B12 to multidose vials and use them like that? The price for 10 amps of 5mg each is 39 Euro.

That sounds like a good price. How many mcg per ml?

5000

Sorry. I think I wrote it a little misleading. 10 amps 1ml each. 5000mcg per ml

Thank you for posting this! Just placed an order, myself. Since the members here have confidence in Arnika, I figured they were my best and safest option. Shipping costs to the US are expensive but it still ends up being much more affordable than my local compounding pharmacy.
