B12 active blood test

I know a serum blood test not needed once b13 injections have started.

I was wondering if an active b12 test would be useful at some stage?

If so how long do you have to wait after an injection?

I've only had one b12 test ever and that was 106 serum blood test (range 200-900)

I thought a baseline 'active ' one may be useful. Still not settled on a regime for I njetting. Presently 1-2 weekly.

What do any of you think?

Or shall I save my money and go by symptoms only?

Thanks

Testing active B12 would be just as pointless as serum B12. Both will be very high and you'll have to wait several months for levels to drop.

Measuring B12 status using Active B12 or serum B12 is like measuring a number of sheep by counting heads, or by counting feet and dividing by four. Both methods will give you a fair idea of how many sheep you have. But counting heads is less likely to lead to errors.
