Had loading doses in jan as low b12 but active within range, my question is i am experiencing fatigue, heart palpitations and muscle weakness, doct now thinks in may be thyroid related as im underactive but thinks maybe my dose too high now which is causing symptons, also lost weight, had him recheck active b12 which is now 134 previous dec reading was 84, could this still be a b12 issue im having and is there any way to rule that out?

So did you have your blood test after a 3 monthly gap off injections! If so have you had your first maintenence b12 injection.? How did that make you feel? It's good ypur thyroid being checked out but often they go together. I suppose if your thyroid okay is the only way at present to assume you still need B12. I was under the impression once started you would continue on injections . Hypothyroid problems I thought you put on weight? Anyhow I hope you continue your b13 until late fully investigated

Sorry misread. You are being treated for thyroid problems. B12 I wrote I think still makes sense though. Hope you get sorted soon

I only had the 6th injections in jan but didn't take them well and still slowly recovering so opted not to have any more atm, tested negative to PA and celiac and stomach virus then doct put me on iron recently which made me unwell and bloated, have since stopped iron as ferreton now at 94 and bloating gone, this why doct thinks my thyroid dose may need adjusting as weight loss, palpitations and muscle weakness, active b12 test was done last week, would the mma test be able to rule out the b12? My symptoms before injections was only tiredness?

I don't know about the Mma test. I reacted badly to my first loading dose and got more ill. I did have more symptoms including neurological ones also tested negative for celiac and PA.haven't a thyroid problem to date. For me when I stopped reluctant to have any more as so ill got bad again. Took advice from this forum. Treat the symptoms. Every other day Injections stated again after those I made the best improvement to date. If you have had such a big gap now from the b12 injections with symptoms not returning and over 3 Months since last b12 loading doses I imagine your blood test can be trusted. (Others will know on here if over 3 Months long enough) So as you are down to one thing now ..

Your thyroid medication to be altered it should give a clearer picture. Your raised ferritin levels should help fatigue as well. It will all take time of course. Keep a diary. I imagine very difficult to know what is causing what at present. Your loading doses would've helped if initially low b12 and you may need your maintenance doses in the future. I think you wise not to put too much in the mix at present as have been so ill. Hope you are feeling improved soon.
