Sorry to hear he was so rude to you. It's actually great advice, you should find another doctor. He sounds like an awful doctor who doesn't care who would want to be treated by him anyway.

Do you have another doctor you could see? I’m guessing this one was unhappy you had organised your own blood testing. But if he wasn’t going to help, what choice did that leave you?

I don’t know what the health system in Cyprus is like, but I think we have another member on here who lives there? Perhaps she can offer advice?

Best wishes

What was your thyroxine dose before you stopped taking it? Usually it is fine to just re-start at your normal dose, it shouldn’t cause you any problems.

I hope the oral sprays will work well enough to keep your vitamin levels topped up. Perhaps another blood test to check up in a month or two would be a good idea?

Best wishes

How long have you been taking the 50mcg of Euthrox? Usually 50 is a starting dose, and your doctor would increase it after repeating blood testing. If your dose isn’t high enough you will still have symptoms, which could explain why you feel so unwell.

Stopping and starting taking it should

not be harmful to you, especially as you only stopped for four days.

Anxiety and depression are sometimes linked to thyroid problems, but they can also be due to low vitamins.

Perhaps it would help you to try something like Yoga or TaiChi, as they teach you to calm the mind and relax the body? They can help ease anxiety and make you feel more in control of things.

Wishing you well
