I have new symptoms of skipped heart beats seen on ECG they are ectopic beats and called PVCs. I also have shortness of breath on exertion with increased heart rate to 125 bpm walking up stairs or washing my hair. I had a b12 injection on 1st February and these symptoms started 23rd February. My last b12 serum blood test on 26th February was >2000 (see first link post for results) this will also show ferritin and folate too.
My question is has any one had any thing like this that can relate to the B12? I have not been officially diagnosed with PA, I have had one intrinsic factor antibodies test in 2016 when my low B12 was originally picked up as I had raised MCV and other blood features which pointed to B12 I was also low in folate too. The intrinsic factor was negative so GP obviously states not PA even though I argued all the usual points that is discussed on this website. I had high homocystiene in september 2018 with nutris viapath private test which suggested folate or pyroxidine deficiency as B12 was in the 1000 range but GP never followed the advise. As GP saw the B12 drop he did agree to 3 monthly injections of hydroxocobalim 1mg (sorry about my spellings today).
Any help or ideas on where I should go next for help? Seeing cardiology tonight.
Thank you in advance.

I used to get ectopic heart beats, arrhythmia and all sorts of problems which made me so short of breath it made me cough. They were all linked to my B12d and have all gone since I started self injecting nearly 4 years ago. My levels are always off the scale but they need to be to stay OK so that's what I do!
Ok thank you. I and the shortness of breath before when I was anaemic with the B12 and seen as this time was after my injection I thought it could be folate or ferritin but they came back normal (albeit low end). I injection 3 monthly from the gp and after the last one B12 was above 2000. As it was serum B12 I wondered what the active B12 would be and maybe it's not going in at cellular level.
I had palpitations but they were regular just strong. Also I had a fast heart rate just walking up the stairs and to the train station. Even just standing up my heart rate was in the 90's sometimes 100.
It took 6 alternate day injections for this to go away, but 3 weeks later it came back even though my B12 level must have been high.
I then paid for another 10 'loading doses' privately and the fast heart rate went away.
I'm not sure if your symptoms are B12, but the very knowledgeable posters on here say that some people need to keep their B12 level very high to repair nerve damage.
Thanks for you reply. I had 6 alternate day loading doses last March and then been on 3 monthly injections from there but have never really felt 100 percent again. Ok thank you. I had the shortness of breath before when I was anaemic with the B12 and seen as this time was after my injection I thought it could be folate or ferritin but they came back normal (albeit low end). I injection 3 monthly from the gp and after the last one in February B12 was above 2000. As it was serum B12 I wondered what the active B12 would be and maybe it's not going in at cellular level. Cardiology is investigation the ectopic beats further as I have never had them before.
Sorry I didn't realise you had loading doses. Good that you are already seeing a cardiologist.
Might be worth supplementing with 400mcg folate for a while if it's at the low end. Could be low active B12. Some people need more regular injections than 3 months. I did a search on here it seems most people are injecting more often than 3 months.
No it's my fault I didn't explain myself properly. I try to keep the posts minimal as I know they are hard to read but with everyone's complicated backgrounds it's hard to keep them short.
I'm going to wait all the results and pick up on all the vitamins again. I take a daily multivitamin and the folic acid I increase the week of my injection to help stop reducing the folate levels in that time but I may need to do that a bit longer. Yes that seems to be the case with the 3 monthly. Luckily the guidelines changed recently to every 2 to 3 months I'm sure that has helped a lot of people.
Have you considered using ReMag, ReMyte and ReAlign (Botanicahealth) products from Dr Carolyn Dean. When reading your ThyroidUK message it occurred to me that you might be magnesium deficient these nano products are very effective and get into the cell. Dr Dean has numerous podcasts and free ebooks on some of your symptoms mentioned. Also The Magnesium Miracle is worth reading.
Thank you very much. Magnesium was suggested on one of my ecg reports but cardiology says it's hard to test for it. So I'll take that on board and add it to my list of vitamins and minerals to help me suggested by everyone on here. I'll look at Dr Dean's work thank you. Cardiology is investigating the ectopics further.
