Result 😀

After feeling v tired , foggy thinking, depressed etc & being on 1 x 3 monthly shots from being diagnosed with PA last year. I asked my GP to increase , she did other tests thyroid & hypolori etc in January which came back okay & referred to haematology.

My appt was yesterday and he has agreed to increase to every 8 weeks. 😀

He did query if I might be depressed & want anti depressants but I explained I do not suffer depression normally & know my body / mind & what helps. These & other symptoms were why I first saw the GP & then blood tests found ,I had PA & no intrinsic factor. We talked about the new (nice ) guidelines.

Haematologist had no problem as he said you can’t overdose on b12 it is excreted via the kidneys . He will now write to my GP to increase.

I hope others wanting to increase injections are encouraged , pursue their GP

get the correct dose , according to their they need. It does helps to know the guide

for treatment.

Thanks to everyone who has advised me since I joined here.

X☀️

Gi Vitb the latest B.N.F guidelines actually now say that P.A. patients with neurological symptoms should now be injected every two months.

Well done for persevering.

Thank you clivealive , I must say I am relieved & glad I persevered.

To anyone out there who needs more frequent jabs than 1 x 3 monthly

be encouraged ,persevere and don’t be put off.
