BIT OF A WEIRD ONE - BUT DID ANYONE SUFFER FROM EARLY CATARACTS?

I HAD BOTH EYES OPERATED ON IN MY 40'S, VERY EARLY FOR CATARACTS. WONDER IF THIS COULD BE CONNECTED TO PA IN ANY WAY. I KNOW MALNUTRITION CAN AFFECT THE EYES, DOES PA STOP CERTAIN NUTRIENTS FROM BEING ABSORBED APART FROM THE B12? THANKS FOR SATISFYING MY CURIOSITY.

Hello again e66, I had early cataracts as well. I am starting to wonder if we were sisters in a past life-LOL! I had both eyes done a few years ago and I am 61 now so in my late 50's. And they were very blurry for awhile before that so maybe the b12 started earlier before my really bad symptoms took place. It could very well be. I hope you are having a better day today. It is 4pm here and just took a gabapentin for pain and 1/4 xanax as I am weaning off so going to lay down and try to fall asleep until dinner. I feel like i have lost my life, could not stay on the antidepressant as I read really bad things about cymbalta. I am praying for both of us every day. Big hugs your way. Did you get your cataracts fixed?

Hi lovely girl, so sorry you are suffering so much, it all feels like a living hell at times. Sure we'll get to heaven as we've been in hell for long enough! Feeling terrible today, the lack of energy is just crushing me physically and mentally. I really can't bear it but have to keep telling myself that tomorrow can only get better. Gosh, how many times have I said that!

Funny about the cataracts, one of the doctors asked if I had an illness, when I said 'yes m.e. he just looked perplexed. At least we won't have to have them done when we are old dears! But I didn't have a clue about the PA back then, just felt like everything weird always happened to me. Please God you feel better soon, we have to perk up for the spring. I want to see the blossoms not be stuck in bed. Praying we feel this dreadful because our bodies are repairing, even if it feels like they are falling apart! Have a lovely weekend and please take special care xxxxxxxx

Hello dear, Don't worry, I feel like i am in a living hell on earth with you. I don't know why God is doing this but there must be a reason. I took 2 gabapentins and it seems to make my weak and shakiness worse. Do your legs get weak and shaky like tremors? The gabapentin takes away the pain and helps me sleep but then when i get up the weakness is much worse. I feel like I can't win. Oh well, I am just trying to manage and cope. I am weaning of xanax but I feel I am going to have to stay on it. I am trying to find something natural for the anxiety but some of these natural herbs make the dizzy worse. It is so frustrating and I am so exhausted taking all theses supplements just trying to manage my brain for the anxiety. My brain does not feel right- all foggy and dizzy. I am getting ready to lay down again and sleep as i just went for a walk and my husband went for a bike ride. That is my life, get up for breakfast, eat, go back to bed, shower, get up for lunch, go back to bed, get up for dinner, watch tv go back to bed. I wish you lived here so we could research and figure everything out together. Sometimes it helps to have a friend to figure things out with our doctors. In the meantime, it is great that we have this forum to figure things out. Do you mind if I ask how old you are? You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. I am just worried because i don't feel tired , my body just feels weak and shaky all over. What is your major symptom right now? Do you feel weak and shaky and off balance all the time? I just hope I am diagnosing myself correctly as I am worried because I don't want to waste time barking up the wrong tree. I hope you are feeling better today and have a better tomorrow. I have to keep hoping and praying . Big hugs and prayers to you!

Thank you for your reply so that makes 3 of us so far.I did read somewhere about PA affecting the hearing, It's all so unfair and making us old before our time. Keep strong and keep fighting. Best wishes.

Hey, I was born with cataracts (congenital) and am 23 now. Had surgery to remove the cataract in the left eye back in 2014 and will be going to do the right this summer. I’ve never heard of PA being related but it’s definitely something I’ll look into
