These are non-fasting. Although i wonder if it would’ve made a difference.
Just a recap, b12 levels were 364 pg/ml (range: 211-911) on 5/12/17 and 671 ng/ml (range: 200-950) on 6/6/18. I started supplementing for everything (including b12) except for vD on 4/3/18 and stopped them 12/19/18 due to starting an ebv protocol so these are my results.
I eat meat everyday and am now supplementing with sublingual vD/k2 and b12.
I see now why they say to fast for homocysteine as the results are different. For referrence the previous test on my last post was Homocysteine: 12.9 umol/ L range: 0.0- 15.0 and this was completed the day after.
What is not pictured is transferrin (also on this test) transferrin: 218 mg/dl range: 200-370

a) you really need to quote ranges (and units) when quoting most tests - there can be more than one unit used for the measurements and the exact test method and equipment can affect the ranges.
b) all tests have a limit to their accuracy - serum B12 for example can vary by 20% if you test the same sample multiple times. I have no idea what the accuracy of homocysteine is but I would be very wary of assuming the difference between the two homocysteine results is that material. It's a secondary product related to how well one process that needs both B12 and folate is running so if levels are high that can be indicative of a problem with B12 or folate. MMA is another by product of a processes that uses B12 and will be high if your cells don't have enough B12 - it's well in rage so you don't appear to have a problem B12 absorption.
c) I'd be inclined to cut back on the B12 supplementation. Whilst it is water soluble your kidneys only have a finite capacity to remove excess from your blood - the rising levels suggest that you are over-supplementing.
The ranges and units have been added. I have not tested too recently but did so by ordering homocysteine and MMA to get a better picture of what is going on. Thank you for your response. Rising levels of what? I do not completely understand. I do not feel well and am trying figure out these things so that I can feel better, doctor isnt much help. There obviously is a reason that the b12 went up with supplementation and then down when I stopped even whilst having a healthy diet .
