I heard from someone on another forum that according to the Sally Pacholok book, it says to take Methyl AND Adeno together for best results. I realize everyone uses different forms and everyone is completely different how it reacts to their bodies, but just curious if anyone else out there in PA world does this combination, and if so what are your thoughts on it.

Methyl AND Adeno?

Is that really in Pacholok’s book?
It is a load of rubbish. It is based on a Wikipedia article that misinterpreted a Chinese paper from 30 years ago. Thankfully, that Wikipedia article has been edited to remove the error, but it still gets quoted all over the interwebs. But I’d be surprised if Pacholok allowed it to be included in her book (well, not that surprised).
All forms of B12, hydroxocobalamin, methylcobalamin, cyanocobalamin, and adenosylcobalamin are converted to cob(II)alamin as soon as they enter the cell. They are from that point onwards, totally identical. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
It seems that the ‘methylcobalamin or nothing’ scaremongers are looking for a new way to spread their B12 FUD by trying to make people think that they’re doing something wrong by not taking adenosylcobalamin.
Besides, I’ve never seen adenosylcobalamin available for injection.

also a bit surprised that atttibuted to Sally Pacholok as I really don't remember it at all.
People do respond quite differently to different forms of B12 - not clear why - some genuinely do find that methyl works best for them - some find methyl a nightmare.
Personally I find that adenosyl is the only thing that helps with my incontinence issues. Methyl seems to help with some neurological problems but does nothing for my neuropsychiatric problems, so it can be worth trying something to see what it does for you.
There have been a couple of reported cases of people who were unable to convert methyl form to adenosyl form - rare genetic variant - so can be some wariness among some medical practitioners about using just methyl (particularly in India).
