Well after only having 5 loading doses and my b12 levels at 150 I’m having to find other ways to get my b12. Ive had a test for PA 8 weeks ago and I’m still waiting on results, I’ve had a CT scan as my headaches, pins n needles are still continuing and also today I went for an MRI, I get my results on Tuesday. I know I need more b12 but the doctors don’t think that’s the cause for my symptoms. They could be right.. my CT scan was clear and I’ve had so many blood tests. I’m just looking for some advice and guidance on where I can get b12 supplies, thank you! (Most annoying part is I still do not know why my levels are so low) I’ve been a great meat eater all my life

You should have received your blood test results for P.A. long ago . Trouble with that test ( Intrinsic Factor Antibodies ) is that it is notoriously unreliable if it comes back negative . You can test negative and still have P.A. It’s usually 6 loading doses anyway ( except in Gloucestershire where I am ) I obtain my B12 ampoules from a German online pharmacy bodfeld-apotheke.de. Search for” Rotexmedica B12 depot” to get Hydroxocobalamin B12 . You may need a translation app. versandapo.de also supply Hydroxocobalamin B12 ampoules Amazon.de. also supply the ampoules from German pharmacies. . You can get Amazon.de in English . Needles ,syringes , swabs , sharps boxes etc obtainable from medisave.co.uk

Like you my symptoms persist and after a loading dose of 6 injections my symptoms have got worse then changed. Ive read here that can happen . Had a few hours yesterday of although very weak was able to walk round the house make myself a drink and stay out of bed most of the day. I then got vertigo like symptoms and have been on or in bed for the last 14 hours . So disappointed. Can only think a glimpse of what to come when I had a few okayish hours.

I too have had a clear ct scan. Phew. My MRI showed non specific white lesions and scattered T2 lesions ?? I think if symptoms subside this could still be in the realms of normal. I have a referral to a neurologist I'm hoping by the time that comes I will be much better.

So another day. Nearly 8 weeks now since collapse. Only a week since loading doses finished. Feels much longer . Such an odd existence. Off all paracetamol yesterday but head and body so achy and heavy had some a.m.

Like you I am a meat eater but stress and reduced stomach acid alone can stop absorption. I wish the intrinsic factor test was more accurate.

Are you aneamia as well. I'm not.

Was you level 150 ? at start. I would get pushy to get injections prescribed or given . At least you have 5 in your system that will hopefully start working soon. What's odd as though my first ever blood test was 106 for B12. My sister was functioning but tired and a little low her reading was 113! No neurological symptoms at all. She is a vegetarian though. She was soon remedied on supplements.

Hope things improve
