Most private hospital now have private GPS, who you can consult . I know that Nuffield do , because that’s how I managed to get my diagnosis for PA. after having been sent on my way with a B12 blood serum reading of 150 . But I had to resort to self -injection when my NHS doctor refused to give me more than the bog standard 3 monthly injection inspite of numb feet( idiopathic according to him) and other neuropathic symptoms . I didn’t know about the PAS then unfortunately . Self -injection is great because it’s cheap and convenient . Think about it, although it may seem daunting . Otherwise , book an appointment with a private GP at a private hospital . (Must be at least £100.00) Best wishes .

I hope Wedgwood has answered your question.

I bought 100 x 1ml Hydroxocobalamin injections from a reputable online German pharmacy for about £55.00 so I would rather self inject which at first I thought was impossible but it’s not hard at all on your thigh.

Self injecting is a far better option if you’re able to.

Take a look at some videos on YouTube for self injecting B12.

I've heard good things about Horizon:

b12horizon.co.uk/

Alternatively, a lot of health/medical aesthetics clinics offer B12 injections, at varying prices. Have you got a Reviv Clinic near you?

Phew petal02...b12horizon charge £89.15 per injection (approximate cost of 1mg Hydroxocobalamin 0.55p plus minimal syringe and needle cost). But then I suppose they do have to cover the cost of a nurse calling to do the injection.

I suspect prohibitive for most people...especially if needing every other day injections.

As always, disgraceful that we have to resort to these methods to get appropriate treatment. Grrr...

👍

Totally agree Foggy - but if you don't feel able to self inject, then it's an option (if all else fails).

I kept an eye on the petition to be able to buy B12 over the counter in UK which has now got close to 70 000 signatures. I wonder what’s going to happen about that ???......as I have no idea of the process it has to go through and how long it takes.

That would sort out a lot of problems for a lot of people.

You can google your nearest Revive clinic as they do b12 injections but SI lot cheaper . Good luck .
