Being referred to another Neurologist

About 4 months ago I posted about the 'one size fits all' approach of the Neurologist I had seen. Well I am glad to say that he is referring me on to another Neurologist who I have heard understands PA.

I also wrote to the Chief Medical Officer for Scotland asking to be referred to an 'expert' on PA rather than individuals who have specialized in an area of medicine. I highlighted I was self injecting.

Her advise was to discuss matters with my clinicians regarding the frequency of injections...however if I was still not satisfied with their response to then complain to the health board. I do not wan to bring complains against individual Doctors when there is a general lack of understanding across the NHS.

Well done Panpal for your persistence - you can have no idea how many other "sufferers" you may have helped along the way.

I hope all goes well for you in the future.
