b 12 stopped working after the sixth shot
I've only had PA for 7 years, but I've had migraines for nearly 50. There are soooo many triggers for migraines...could be that B12 was only one of them for you, or perhaps is not a trigger at all. My migraines diminished substantially after menopause, and even more after hormonal treatment for breast cancer (the one silver lining in that whole episode!). I have to be very careful about light: I wear visors a lot so that I can block fluorescent lights, bright lights...even the flickering from a ceiling fan can trigger one for me. It took me over 10 years to identify light as a trigger. But the one thing I can't control is the weather. Most of my migraines now are when there is a change in barometric pressure.
B12 has never been an issue for my migraines.
My stepchild's migraines are triggered by odors. I know someone else who can't look at a scrolling browser window, and had to change careers as a result. I have a cousin who has to stop every ticking clock in the house whenever she gets a migraine. Many people have dietary triggers. There are just so many things that can trigger migraines. It's great that your low B12 was discovered and treated before it became problematic in other ways, but it sounds like it's not what has been triggering your migraines.

Like cdragin i had hormone related migraines for years. The ones I get post menopause seem to be food related. I have a variety of foods that set them off, and while it may be ok for me to eat as all amount of an item ( my homemade flapjacks) binge on them and a migraine kicks off. I've found pineapple, chocolate ( even tiniest amount) coffee, curry spices are all triggers. There are probably others.
Keep a food diary and you might see a pattern.
Also hyper sensitive to light. I wear sunglasses outside most of the year and indoors on the brightest days I have to keep blinds closed.
I had the same issue. My osteopathic doctor only then told me about the importance of magnesium, potassium, and other b vitamins in metabolizing b12.
can someone here please suggest a neurologist who prescribes hydroxo/methycobalamin for patients ?i'm suffering from severe hormone related migraines -i' d ;be glad if you could suggest one-thanks in advance
