Ahhhh - what a pain! (And literally!). I have had odd mix ups and have found it hard to get the balance back to feel well again.
My experience is that it is possible to get it all back but it takes time and lots more supplementation than I feel should be required!
Too little folate does give you a sore tongue, too much doesn't. Do you have any other symptoms which possibly point towards being low in folate?
Folate has a wide safety margin and if it was me I would try increasing the folate for several days and see if things improve.
I know I am always surprised by how much I need to correct things once the deficiency symptoms of something appear and for me it can take weeks on a high level before everything comes back together and I can return to more reasonable supplementation levels again.
It's a horrible feeling when things go wrong and you have my sympathy. Take heart though - there's a good reason for the problem and with enough supplements you should be OK again in time.
I don’t have any other symptoms of high folate but I do have some of the lesser symptoms I had when b12 was low like post nasal drip and tight feeling in throat
I think I will continue b12 on alternate days for a while along with folate
It’s so frustrating when everything was going well I’m worried for some reason the b12 is not working like it used to
