Seeking advice on obtaining B12 and self-injection supplies

Hello.

I am considering self-administering B12 via intramuscular injection, due to persistent deficiency symptoms and lack of progress with my Doctor. I have consulted online resources to learn the injection technique, but am still not sure where to purchase the B12 and syringes, needles, alcohol swabs. etc. I would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks.

If you look over to the right (on a normal web page, possibly down near the bottom on a mobile) you should see a section labelled ‘related posts’. Have a browse through hem and you should find what you’re looking for.

One important point - If you haven’t already had injections from your doctor then you need to try and make sure your first one is done by a trained medical professional. There is a small chance of an adverse reaction, including anaphylactic shock. If this does happen then you’ll want somebody trained to deal with it with access to the right equipment.

I have had six loading doses and a maintenance dose injected by a nurse this year, with no signs of anaphylactic shock or other problems- as such I think I will be ok.

You can obtain excellent B12 ampoules from some German online pharmacies . I know 3 who will send to U.K.1) versandapo.de ( you will need translation facility for them — they no longer have a site in English . )

Courier costs €9.00 search for Vitamin B12 Depot Rotexmedica. You can buy packs of 10 for €7.99 or 10x10 for €48.19 today (special offer 30%discount —Its usually 19% discount ! )

2) mycare.de in English . Have the same , but are a bit more expensive

3) Bodfeld-Apotheke.de is also only in German .

4) Amazon.de ( German amazon , but you can get it in English ) Also have B12 ampoules ( Hydroxocobalamin ) but not every pharmacy that sells with them will send to U.K. .

Everything else you need you can get from medisave.uk

You need a long needle to extract the B12 from the ampoule say 1 1/2

Another needle for the injection -get a gauge 25 which is nice and fine , and 1inch long .

2ml syringe ( yes even if the ampoule is 1ml )

Alcohol swabs

Sharps box for used needles .

Hope that this helps .
