Hi. Any advice would be good. I have a 3 monthly B12 injection, and my goodness how I had to fight for that. With two weeks to go I am struggling. Pins and needles, mood swings, breathless and crippling fatigue. Going on holiday on Saturday with kids. Any advice?

Hi Dee.

That's why I self inject , enables me to manage myself .Is there a more sympathetic GP in the practice who would give you Jag sooner... My GP was so

p*__^d off with my whining she harpooned me same day.

Reluctantly

Tho. Hence decision to self inject. Good luck

Hi

I’d say three months is too long then as you are tired and symptoms are returning.

I self inject but I get my needles from the gp ( until some one does a review!!)

I think you need to consider getting your own b12.

Best wishes

Depending on where you live you might be able to get a B12 injection at one of those health and beauty clinics . Private GP might be helpful( most private hospitals ) It’s a shame to have your holiday blighted . Yes, as beginner1 said some foreign countries will offer a b12 injection at a proper pharmacy . Greece certainly will , but I don’t know about the others .. yes do consder self-injection . It’s honestly really cheap and easy . I buy in bulk and injection costs about £1.00 !Best of luck 🍀🍀🍀

Tell the doctor you are away for a month and could you please have it now. Worked for me 😉

If I hadn't experienced the amazing effect of liquid B12, I'd never believe it could be that simple, but after being cut off from my biweekly injections for 4 months by a power-crazed Physicians Assistant, I had become so fatigued & weak with headaches & muscle pain that I was desperate. I tried liquid B12 from GNC in the US. The results were beyond anything I've ever gotten from a jab. After taking larger-than-recommended daily doses for a week I felt almost normal and after a month I had so much energy I found it difficult to sleep. The bottle recommends one dropper or 1 ml, but that is ineffective for me. I'm still experimenting with the dosage to find the least amount that still works for me, but I'm taking 4 to 6 droppers full a day ( spread out over the day). It comes in a 2 fluid ounce, 60 ml bottle with no added supplements (just preservatives and sweeteners) and has about 60 doses of 1000 mcg cyanocobalamin for $9.99. Unlike other liquid B12 I've tried, the cherry flavor even tastes great. Some liquid B12 formulas have added supplements but don't list the quantities of those, so I would be afraid to quadruple (or greater) the doses on those products. Unfortunately, this particular bottle isn't available on either the US or UK GNC websites, but research on Amazon would likely turn up another brand with no added supplements. If you're in the US, it's easy to find a GNC store near you. I am now getting biweekly injections again, but when I gave up the liquid B12, my symptoms returned, so I'm currently using both. I still have "bad days" but I have more good ones, which wasn't the case before. Personally, I'm just so grateful to find a product that my doctor has no control over, and that I don't have to self-administer with a needle!

I’m afraid that most PA patients do not benefit from oral supplements , due to loss of the Intrinsic Factor, and stomach acid ., both of which are required for the absorbtion of vitamin B12 . It’s great that you have found something that enables you to do without B12 injections .
