Low B12

Hi,

I recently found out I have low B12d levels

I’ve been feeling really exhausted, lethargic and breathless for a few months along with many other symptoms like mouth ulcers, pins and needles, not being able to sleep, being irrationally angry and irritable.

My B12 levels were 168ngl. After taking oral supplements for 50 days my levels he gone go to 200ngl. I stopped taking the tablets 11 days ago on my GPS advice and I feel awful again. Could my body hve depleated the B12 already? My folate levels were 2.4 which I was told was fairly low too.

I’m a petite 24 year old female.

My GP keeps telling me it’s anxiety and depression however I know from past experience with these things I feel physically different. I was on anti depressants for 6 years but have been off of them for 2 years and I know I feel different to how I did previously.

I’m new to all of this and I feel so palmed off by my GP as they just want to give me antidepressants again, even though they never helped me in the past, which is the reason I came off them! Any advice would be great, thanks :)

Breathlessness is a sign you are low on blood levels. I had 5 transfusions & went septic. The brain of a anemic person looks the same as a heroin addict. Low levels of blood & oxygen. I highly recommend a consult with a hematologist! I went though 12 specialists! I inject B-12 serum twice monthly & every other day take TaronForte Capsules. God bless.
