When did you feel effects from injections?

Just did my third at home. 1000mcg cynacobalamin into my stomach. Nothing yet. Doing loading injections every few days and then I'll do it every few weeks I guess.

Hello yes I am,

Folate is borderline or below range every test I have, never been higher than 7 in a range with an upper limit of 60. I don't know what it is currently but I'm now supplementing 1000mcg methylfolate daily. Don't know why it's always low when I love vegetables.

Symptoms are depression, poor memory, poor concentration, severe brain fog, weakness, chronic fatigue

My active B12 level was 'ok' last time I had it checked after taking high dose supplements for a while - 55 (range was 25-135 I believe) but I'm trialling injections at home just in case it helps, as my total B12 was 180 when I first had it tested and 300 after supplements which still seems low (starting range ~140)

Sorry I don't have the actual results to hand, was just curious about when people who had injections felt benefits themselves really.

Good on you for supplementing Folate. B12 does not give an "overnight" cure - some symptoms will improve quickly whilst others may appear to get worse as the B12 starts repairing damage done to the nerves. A lot will depend on the severity and longevity of the deficiency.

If you are in the U.K. where on earth did you get cyanocobamalin injections as there seems to a Europe wide shortage and I only have three vials left?

I am not a medically trained person but have had P.A. for 46 years and been on cyano since 1972.
