I am using the needles below. It might just be me but sometimes when I inject the needle going in hurts a lot more than other day. I also bleed more when it hurts more. I use green needles to draw up and then the blue to inject. Could some needles be more blunt? Does anyone else experience this?
Any ideas/ observations welcome 😀

Hi Padders 12 , what gauge , size are the needles ? The higher the gauge the finer the needle , ie a 25 gauge is finer than a 23 gauge therefore less painfull , hope this helps . A 1nch needle is shorter than 1 1/4 , hope someone else explains it better soon , take care (also it helps to warm the b12 ampules in your hand to body temp as can sting when cold ,) 90 * angle also good as at an angle can hurt .
Yes a finer needle is so much better . I managed to find some gauge 30 x 1inch , but they came from USA — So expensive with shipping ( bulksyringes.com)
Exchange supplies have gauge 27 x 1 1/2 “ (40mm)
Long grey £6.60 for 100
Medisave have Terumo Agani 25 x 1” (£2.82for 100) I use these as well
. But I have to say that 30 gauge is fantastic !
Of course when the needle is fine , the injection is done more slowly .
1inch is usually OK for IM . If you have to have it longer , you need not inject it all the way .
