I seem to remember that those who have been diagnosed with PA have weak stomach acid? I don't know if it's to do with coming of the age or the combination of having PA I appear to have osteoporosis (according to the dexa scan). Apparently, weak stomach acid is one of the culpit for having osteoporosis.
Going through menopause is difficult enough, I didn't need anymore ailment to worry. Health condition is raining on me this year.

I’m sorry to hear of your problem . Yes the low /no stomach acid comes hand in hand with PA . The antibodies produced by the autoimmune condition, attack the parietal cells in the fundus of the stomach which produce the acid and Intrinsic Factor needed for absorbtion of B12 and the acid is needed for processing all the other vitamins and minerals . It’s advisable to take a good mineral and vitamin supplement . Acid -containing drinks could help also ie lime juice , organic apple cider vinegar -diluted . and drunk before eating . I also use probiotics to help the stomach flora which suffers from the lack of stomach acid . There are some good articles to read if you google “Diet for Achlorhydria “ ( lack of stomach acid ) Best wishes .
