Hi
Has anyone used Blue Horizons for their B12 injections and do you recommend them? I'm thinking of using them for 3 monthly maintenance injections. Thanks.

That’s interesting - I hadn’t heard of the service . I must say that I’m shocked at the price - £79.15. You can self inject for no more than £1.20,if you buy everything in bulk . I promise you that it’s easy once you are used to it . Sorry , I know you really just want someone to tell you if the service is good , but I’m so shocked at the price . It’s a very new service, so probably there won’t be many people who have tried it. Many people will be prevented financially from using it .

I agree it’s expensive and I’m only really considering this option because I could bear the cost every 3 months; and also because I’m not sure how competent/comfortable with self-injecting I’m likely to become only doing it every 3 months?
I’ve noticed on the forum, that many issues surrounding B12 injections relate to people being unable to get a PA diagnosis, or are struggling to have their maintenance doses increased/supplemented.
Mine seems to be slightly different in that I have a firm diagnosis - I tested positive for anti-IFABs 8 years ago and was told I would need B12 maintenance injections every 3 months for the rest of my life. However, for the past 2 years my GP has refused to administer regular maintenance doses. Is this unusual?
I will try to get some further info re BH and put this on the forum.
Many thanks
When they started the service there was something on the forum but as Wedgewood says, it's a really expensive option compared to self injection
Yes I started using them. All my bits and syringe here but no nurse as yet
