Fl17. Potassium tablets should only be taken under direct medical supervision.
Potassium is very finely balanced in the body and too much potassium through over-supplementation - or taking it when you don't need it - can cause the heart to stop.
If you suspect that you may be low in potassium, eat a diet rich in potassium (information on the Internet). You could also ask you medical practitioner to test your Urea and Electrolytes (to check potassium levels).
Please do not take any more potassium tablets (or advise folks here to do so).
It's also worth noting that potassium levels only drop in the initial stages of B12 therapy - and then only if macrocytic anaemia is present (and many people do not have this).
