I have an appointment date for neurology in Glasgow.
I worry that things are not going to get any better. Depression and bitter anger are consuming my hopes for improvement and for a reasonable quality of life.
I miss having the energy for day long walks, etc.
Wondering how other people got on after being seen by neurology?

I haven't been to the neurology department (heading to Spire Murrayfield next week to see a haematologist) but I do know a lot about bitterness and depression. I find most of it comes from powerlessness. I would suggest that you make a list of the things you CAN do to affect your situation. For me this was writing to my GP as I found I couldn't make the arguments well in person, bringing a doctor friend to my appointment and bringing copies of research with salient points listed. I have also found someone in Edinburgh who buys supplies in Tenerife and self injects that I could talk to and I've bought supplies so that even if the docs are no use I have a backup plan.
It is not only the PA stuff getting me down. Having to buy my own Vit B12 when trying to survive on less than £126 per week for over a year. Struggling with DWP and also the nonsense protocols/procedures of the unfair Tribunal Service while appealing.
Then there have been the effects of funding cuts to where I have volunteered for the past 3 years and other 'support' services.
When is support not support when you are being asked to volunteer and take on the work previously done by someone being paid and who was well enough to do so!
